For approximately 80 years GNC has set a very high standard in the nutritional supplement industry. As a consumer you are guaranteed quality, product potency and truth in labelling. GNC also places great emphasis on general health and wellbeing, something which appeals to me as a medical professional.
What do you do to stay healthy?
My recipe for staying healthy includes:
A: regular exercise
B: healthy eating habits
C: relaxation, rest and sleep
How much time do you spend training each day?
During contest prep I train twice daily. Fasted cardio at 6am and usually weights in the evening.
What according to you are the biggest challenges in your line of work?
The biggest challenge as a doctor would be incurable disease, the re-emergence of older deadly disease and the emergence of "super bugs" for which medical science has little or no remedy for.
How do you prepare for an event/job/commitment?
I don't make a commitment unless I cannot give it my full attention and effort. Personally, I either give it 100% or not do it at all. I prepare for it with positive thinking to start with. There are numerous physical and mental benefits to positive thinking. Positive thinking can give you the confidence you need, improve mood and reduce the likelihood of stress.
How do you handle the pressure of being in the spotlight?
I am a well-grounded individual that comes from humble beginnings and made myself the hardest worker in the room to achieve the success I have in my life. I always remember where I started and I try to give back at every possible opportunity.
